The quest for rest has become and should be of utmost importance in this fast-paced world. People are already on a never-ending quest for happiness. And in that search, as they look through the Good Book and all the other books that teach them how to achieve that elusive emotion, they all find one thing repeated throughout. Taking a break is something one needs and deserves.

It makes sense that after taking days to create the world, rest was needed. We should take that as an example of what to do. There are plenty of examples throughout religion and literature. From meditation to working out, re-souling and rejuvenation is a key theme of self-help. The term rest is not quite appropriately used in relation to spare time. People actually use that time. Some people use it for hobbies. Other people might decide to take up a sport or work out in their spare time. It may seem like work, but exercising has proven to be very good at reducing stress. This puts money in the cash register of those who sell something like a treadmill or even a nice black sport watch.

Sure, there are those that actually physically rest on their days off. But, they too are doing things. Usually that means, eating and watching television, sedentary things that cause them more stress because they get heavy. This, in turns leads to dieting and sends them to the book store for some weight loss books. This could be your book store selling the books to them.

What do people care most about in their job benefits package - one thing is definitely vacation time. We all need rest to rejuvenate, to relieve stress and anxiety. Without spare time, human kind becomes over-worked and exhausted and the world doesn’t turn right.

Therefore, humankind will always need and find spare time. Which then means, they will always have a need to fill that time. If you are in the business of sales and are clever, you can and will find a service or product to sell to this need for filling time when you are not actually doing anything. So, think hard about what people do when they don’t want to do anything - go along on trips, spy in gyms and mosques, consider what you do on your day off and it is guaranteed you will find a market to tap.
